Spice up your outfit with a pair of cheery colourful cuffs. Choose your favourite stranded knitting pattern, or mix and match patterns and colours to make a bold fashion statement. The cuffs are quick knits, which means they make excellent presents!
Colour Theory is a collection of two triangular shawls worked on the bias, with lots of options to allow you to play. It was inspired by colour theory lessons and the gorgeous Rohrspatz & Wollmeise Lacegarn palette.
While these two designs, a shawl and a loop, are individuals, they are most definitely siblings, too. They might not look alike at the first glance, however, they share several features. Both will keep you warm and drape easily around your neck. Uncomplicated backgrounds make these projects easy and relaxing, with fringes and bobbles adding just a bit of interest and whimsy to your project. Have you been waiting for an opportunity to make that special skein in your stash shine? Here’s two chances to showcase your favorite yarns.
The five accessories of the OPENWORK COLLECTION are themed around stitch patterns, in which yarn overs and dropped stitches are used to create light and airy fabrics. On occasion, mesh patterns add some dimensionality to the knitting.
The five shawls of The Cables Collection explore the vastly different ways cables can be worked. They feature, among others, several stitch patterns by Norah Gaughan, who is well-known for her stylish cables. The collection includes a whimsical design with a woodsy feel, a design featuring cable stripes that are connected by a band of interwoven cables, a graphic design with minimalistic cables, a design featuring a two-colour cable mandala and, finally, a crescent shawl with a stunning cable edging.
The five shawls of The Dots Collection explore the different ways in which dots can be knit. There are circles that rely on the way purl and knit stitches break the light to become visible, short rows that form points to bend garter stripes into surprisingly striking patterns, huge dots worked in dimensional intarsia technique, concentric rings of lace, and tiny points formed in the negative space between stitches.
This is a collection of five shawls. They feature a combination of techniques, like intarsia, stranded knitting, or short rows, and use the individual techniques as a fascinating canvas for colour play. You’ll find a hint of shadow knitting, dots and dashes of colour, an elegant understatement of greys, and a bold symphony of stripes featuring Madelinetosh, The Fibre Co., Plucky and Brooklyn Tweed.
The White & Blacker collection is a collaboration with the lovely folks at Blacker Yarns. Each of the three items in this collection is worked with a yarn from a different breed of British sheep, ranging in weight from lace to DK. There is a pair of cuffs worked in Bluefaced Leicester lace, a sweater in fingering weight Shetland, and a hat in Gotland DK. Each of the three garments uses a hint of Fair Isle knitting, just enough to create delicate accents while providing an overall relaxing knitting experience.
